8X11X08: DROID SEEKS NEW BASSIST
Droid is currently looking for a new full-time bassist for their band. The group says in a new update that the musician must also be able to handle heavy backing vocals in addition to playing bass. Those interested are asked to send pictures and a video of their bass playing to droidaudition@yahoo.com.......Devildriver’s John Boecklin will bow out of the band’s Ozzfest appearance next month. The drummer is getting married the following day, so the group has called upon Daath’s Kevin Talley to fill in.
3X24X08: DROID ANNOUNCES TOUR WITH SHADOWS FALL AND LAUNCHES ONLINE STORE
Long Beach metallers Droid are pleased to announce a string of dates with Shadows Fall, Kataklysm, The Showdown, and Arsis. The two-week tour kicks off in Buffalo at the Showplace Theatre and wraps up with a performance at the 10th Anniversary New England Hardcore and Metal Fest in Worcester, MA!
Vocalist James “Buddy” Eason commented on the upcoming tour: “We are so excited to be going out on tour with Shadows Fall, Kataklysm, Arsis and The Showdown. I love the fact that all the bands on this tour are all true metal bands, yet are all musically unique. We are big fans of all the bands on this tour and are looking forward to destroying every stage every night.”

WHATS UP EVERYONE, THE GUERILLA CARNIVAL TOUR WITH ILL NINO AND EKOTREN WAS A SUCCESS AND A BLAST !!! BESIDES IT BEING A BLAST IT WAS ALSO THE MOST DANGEROUS TOUR WE HAVE EVER DONE, DO TO THE CRAZY WEATHER CONDITIONS AND GETTING INTO TWO ACCIDENTS IN ONE DAY !!! FOR INSTANCE WE WERE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF NEBRASKA ON INTERSTATE 80 IN A SNOW STORM ON ICY ROADS !!! WE ENDED UP SPINNING OUT, JACK KNIVING OUR TRAILER AND DOING TWO 360'S INTO A SNOWBANK ! WE NEARLY FLIPPED OVER !!! SO A FEW HOURS LATER WE WERE TOWED OUT OF THE SNOW AND BACK ON THE ROAD BEING CAUTIOUS AND DRIVING AT SPEEDS FROM 25MPH TO 40MPH. ALREADY BEING AS STRESSED OUT AS WE COULD BE, AN 18 WHEELER HAULING CATTLE CRASHES INTO US !!! THE DRIVER OF THIS BIG FOCKING TRUCK FELL ASLEEP AND COMPLETELY SIDE SWIPED US, SMASHING THE FRONT OF OUR VAN AND TOTALING OUR TRAILER FORCING US TO HAVE TO RENT ANOTHER VAN AND BUY A NEW TRAILER TO FINISH THE TOUR !!! WE MISSED 3 SHOWS BECAUSE OF THIS DISASTER 1 IN COLORADO AND 2 IN NEW MEXICO. WE ARE REALLY SORRY FOR MISSING THOSE SHOWS AND WILL BE BACK TO MAKE THEM UP ASAP. ILL NINO AND EKOTREN WERE A RIOT TO HANG OUT WITH, THEY WERE ALL STRAIT UP GOOD VIBES AND DROID WOULD BE HONORED TO TOUR WITH EITHER OF THOSE BANDS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE !!!
WE WANT TO THANK ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND FANS THAT SHOWED UP TO ALL THE SHOWS WEARING THEIR DROID GEAR AND SUPPORTING THE DROID ARMY ! DROID ANNOUNCE FIRST TOUR PLANS OF THE NEW YEAR WITH ILL NINO!
Coming off of successful touring stints last year with Family Values and a support slot for Hellyeah and Korn, California metallers Droid have announced their first string of dates for 2008. The band will be heading out on the road with Ill Nino, Soil and Bobaflex as part of the Guerilla Carnival Tour starting on January 31st. The tour will run through March 1st.
James ³Buddy² Eason lead singer of Droid had this to say, ³We are really excited to get back out on the road and the ILL NINO guys are good friends of ours so it will be great to see them rip it up every night. I really like the fact that all the bands on this tour are a little different than each other musically. This diverse package will give fans an exciting show from beginning to end. Get ready DROID fans...here comes the pain!!!!²
Droid blew crowds away all over the country last year with their energetic live show. Their high powered set is definitely something not to be missed.

10X23X07: News from Jaime on rumors+tour & video update
Contrary to the rumors that Droid has left Korn’s "Bi#%h! We Have A Problem" tour, Droid continues to destroy the stage, and Droid guitarist Jamie Teissere breaks the silence to clear the air about rumors of Droid being sent home.
“The rumors are not true,” says Jaime, “We are on our way to Tucson, Arizona as we speak and will continue until the end of the tour.”
Munky could not be reached for comment, but label representative Christy Priske had this to say: “The band and label bond is as strong as ever. The band has not been asked to leave the tour. Jamie & Munky have been best friends for years and the reported fight they got in was nothing more than a drunken scuffle that ended in apologies. All is well in both camps and Droid are moving forward to finish the tour.”
Droid are also pleased to announce that their brand-new video for the single “Fueled By Hate” can be seen on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball as well as the Headbanger’s Blog (available here: http://headbangersblog.mtv.com/2007/10/19/video-premiere-droid-fueled-by-hate-even-before-korn-punch-up/) .
